Keanu Reeves

 Keanu Charles Reeves (/ki'a:nu / kee-AHnu/ born on September 2 1964) is a Canadian actor. Reeves was born in Beirut, and grew up in Toronto. He began his acting career in theatre productions prior to transitioning to television. His feature film debut was made in Youngblood (1986). He had his breakthrough role in the science-fiction comedy Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), and he reprised his role in the sequels. He gained praise for playing a hustler in the independent drama My Own Private Idaho (1991) and established himself as an action hero with leading roles in Point Break (1991) and Speed (1994).Following numerous box office failures, Reeves's performance in the film of horror The Devil's Advocate (1997) was well received. He gained acclaim for his role as Neo in the Matrix's science fiction series, which he started in 1999. He was John Constantine in Constantine (2005) and starred in the romantic drama The Lake House (2006), the science fiction thriller The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008), and the crime thriller Street Kings (2008). After a slow period in the sales of films, Reeves returned to the John Wick series in 2014 as the assassin in the title. He directed Man of Tai Chi (2013). Reeves was an accompanist to the bass guitar of Dogstar, and has pursued various other pursuits, including writing and giving back to charity.
