Halle Berry

 Halle Maria Berry (/'haeli/; born Maria Halle Berry; August 14, 1966) is an American actress. She started her career as a model and participated in several beauty contests, finishing as the first runner-up the Miss USA pageant and coming sixth in Miss World 1986. The first actress in history to take on the role of Boomerang (1992) in a role opposite Eddie Murphy. This led to the roles she played in The Flintstones (1994), Bulworth (191998), as well as Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (1999). Both films were Emmy-Award winners. Her portrayal of widows struggling to survive in the romantic drama Monster's Ball (2001), she received the Academy Award for Best Actress as the only Black woman and the sole woman of color to be awarded the prize. She played high-profile roles, for instance, Storm in four installments X-Men (2000-2014), Storm as the henchwoman of the robber, and Jinx in Die Another Day (2002). Other notable films were Perfect Stranger (2007) and Cloud Atlas (2012). 606 Films was her production company. She was also involved in the creation of a variety of projects, including the CBS science-fiction show Extant (2014-15). She starred in the action movies Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017), John Wick Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019) and made her directorial debut on Netflix's drama Bruised (2020).
