Michael Bay

 American filmmaker and producer Michael Benjamin Bay was born on February 17, 1965. His films are renowned for their big-budget, high-concept action films. They are characterized by rapid cuts and visual cinematography, as well as explosives and special effects. He is also the director and co-founder of The Institute, a.k.a. The Institute for the Advancement of Enhanced Perceptual Awareness. He also owns Platinum Dunes Production House, that has remade a number of horror films, including The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003, The Amityville Horror (2006), The Hitcher (2007) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010). In spite of his success at the box office the majority of film critics hold Bay's films in poor esteem. While The Rock (1996) and Transformers (2007) received favorable review, Ambulance (2022), 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016) and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016) received mixed reviews. But critics generally have criticized the majority of Bay's films, particularly those four Transformers sequels.
